Quick Reference Guide
What does my room have in it?
Where do I eat or cook?
What can I have from home?
What is the power cap?
What kind of wildlife can I find?
Are the clockwork people always in the same place?
What places can I go to? What's there?
MY QUESTION IS NOT ONE OF THESE QUESTIONS!
What does my room look like?
Furniture: Each hotel room has either one large or two small beds. The beds are extremely fluffy down mattresses, down comforters and down pillows. Here's hoping you are not allergic to feathers. There is a simple table and a small round carpet under it. There's a chair that looks more comfortable than it actually is. On the table there is a quill, ink, sand and sheets of paper. There is also a candle with a little glass flame.
Walls: Every room has rough, yellow wallpaper.
Bathroom: There is a bathroom with a chamberpot and a large brass tub, a mirror and complimentary soap.
Things That Happen: Every morning, on your pillow there is a little square that says mint! No matter what you try, you can't seem to get the wrapper off, like it's painted on wood. Because it is.
The chamberpots are changed at night. You never see it happen.
At night, the glass candle glows.
If you leave for the day, you will find your bed made and room tidied up while you were gone.
Things You Can Change: Each room is a little different in little ways, maybe yours has a painting, maybe yours has a nice view of the town, maybe yours has curtains, maybe yours has nice wooden panelling. Customize as you will.
And last but not least: The key you get, of course, locks your room. If you lock yourself out, you are kinda boned. Try not to do that.

What can I have from home?
Anything you had been carrying at the time. So yes, your sword, your magic wand, your hair dryer. Those can all have come with. Your luggage might be a little far fetched. People, pets and vehicles are out.
If you are an RPG character with an insane inventory, you have only arrived with what a normal person could have reasonably held. However, in Twelveheart you have the special ability of a magical inventory.

What is the power cap?
The power cap currently works under a modified version of the honor system. We have limited extremely few powers off hand.
WORLD SHATTERING KABOOOOM.
Dimensional portals.
Time travel.
Scrying/sensing outside of the limits of the town.
You can ATTEMPT any one of those. Ping Nishi if you do.
So what can you do? Anything you can in canon. We trust you guys to be cool dudes about these things. We've even provided a handy mechanic to ICly throttle your character if they would 100% set everything on fire RIGHT NOW, and you, the player, don't want to do that. Or the other player is not cool with being healed right now because they want to play with a broken arm for a while?
When you try to use your magic/innate ability/karate chop action, you'll hear the sound of something whir and begin to tick frantically. You'll feel a terrible wave of weakness that will pass in an hour or so.
Things to remember: The power cap is absolutely NOT meant to keep you from showing off or having your moment.
Solving a part of a puzzle in front of you with your powers, blowing up one in a group of enemies? Totally awesome.
Completely solving the problem, destroying all in your path or even offering a magical solution to a day to day trouble that the players are having fun with, but the characters would have no IC reason to refuse? Is pretty much a kill joy. Especially if people haven't had their fair shake at it, or are formulating another plan.
We reserve the right to go "UH NO" to any use of power we see as godmoding the town or players.

Where do I eat/cook?
There IS a kitchen area in each of the inns that is nicely supplied with an enormous range of cooking equipment and tools.
But... strange, it doesn't seem like the inn provides room service or a dining area! The cabinets are empty. There are places around the area that look like shops and houses though...
What kind of wildlife can I find? One house as a clockwork cat. Another has a clockwork dog.
Other than that? Nothing.
Are the clockwork people always in the same place? They are in exactly the same place, in exactly the same position every day, every time you look at them.

MY QUESTION IS NOT ONE OF THESE QUESTIONS!
